My Heal Your Life journey began when I was aged 16 with the introduction of numerous affirmations written on post it notes and fixed to the walls of many rooms of a friend's house. I never really questioned why there were there except to ask my friend what they were for. Her simple answer was 'Its Louise Hay. Its all about loving and approving of yourself. We need to love ourselves more'. I never questioned it more than this. On my 21st birthday, I given You Can Heal Your Lifeby a close family friend. I quickly read through the book, put it down and thought no more of it. A couple of years later, I couldn't help but notice this little book sitting on my book shelf, almost calling out to me each day 'pick me up, pick me up', and so I re-read it. This time it really hit me, what I had been exposed to all these years earlier, and how it could make a big difference in my life, if only I would try it. I started practising the exercises contained within it's pages and slowly read each chapter one by one, giving time inbetween to really think about and absorb the meaning and value it's contents added to my life. It changed me. It really changed my for the better. I couldn't help but be a more positive person and wanted more. So, I attended a Heal Your Life 2 Day Workshop that was advertised in my area. I thought to myself 'if this book can make this much impact, I can't wait to see what transformation can occur with a group of like-minded and supportive people'. To this day, I am continually working on my thoughts and feelings, striving to be the best version of myself that I can.
