Cora-Lee Fedoruk
Cora-Lee Fedoruk is a proud mother, daughter, sister, Auntie and friend. She is a strong Anishinaabe woman from Little Saskatchewan First Nations, Manitoba. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. She is of Saulteaux descent on her mothers side and English, Irish and Scottish decent on her birth fathers side. Cora-Lee currently resides in Edmonton where she lives in a multi generational home with her mother, sister, niece and two daughters. Cora-Lee is a Red Seal Journeyman Steamfitter/ Pipe-fitter with 20 years experience, working in a field that still to this day, is primarily men. Through her years of working in the Trades, Cora-Lee developed her skills of speaking her truth, standing her ground, creating healthy boundries with people and being adaptable to any situation. Cora-Lee has since shifted her career to her passion and purpose. Since 2017 Cora-Lee has become a role model for women and girls looking to unapologetical build their own futures in the trades. She provides a safe space where people know they are not alone and that they can come to her for support and a place to heal. Her desire is to be of service and to teach personal healing, personal responsibility, compassion and empathy to others. Cora-Lee’s long term goal is to open a healing centre for women and children escaping domestic violence that provides a place for children to heal though animal therapy and a connection to nature. Cora-Lee is a consummate learner, who believes knowledge not only comes from books and classes but from the people who we meet in our everyday life, Elders and youth alike, from our environment and also our life experiences. As of recently, Cora-Lee has become a certified Traditional Family Parenting teacher. Also, she is a certified and insured, Heal Your Life® workshop teacher and Life Coach. Cora-Lee’s core belief is all people, at different times in our lives have the capacity to learn as well as teach and to start each day with an open heart and open mind.
