Brenda Asp

Brenda Lee Asp – Artist, Cultural Educator, and Heal Your Life® Workshop Facilitator and Coach Brenda Lee Asp is a proud member of the Raven Clan, with ancestral roots in the Northern Tutchone Nation from the Snag area of Yukon and the Tahltan Nation of Northern British Columbia. Her family lineage also includes Atna, Upper Tanana, and Tlingit peoples, along with Swedish and German ancestry. Born in the Yukon and raised between the Yukon and Northern B.C., Brenda weaves her diverse cultural heritage into everything she creates and teaches. As a certified Heal Your Life® Workshop Facilitator and Coach, Brenda is passionate about supporting Indigenous people — and those connected to Indigenous families — who are navigating recovery, intergenerational trauma, and poverty mindsets. Her work empowers others to reconnect with their authentic selves, develop new awareness, and rediscover their inner strength. Her mission is to help people feel confident, culturally connected, and grounded in their wellness. Brenda believes that cultural revitalization is wellness. She teaches through story, practice, and hands-on creativity — reminding us that we carry ancestral knowledge in our hands, in our ways of being and doing. Her teachings and artistic work are grounded in Indigenous values, traditions, and spiritual healing. Brenda is also a gifted creator and designer. She produces handmade clothing, jewelry, and accessories that reflect her Northern Tutchone, Tahltan, and Tlingit cultures — all with a spiritual Indigenous flare and a modern twist. Her pieces are infused with the essence of the land and the spirit of ceremony, often incorporating harvested materials and organic fabrics. "Creating is the medicine for my soul,” she says. “Using my hands to bead or sew keeps me connected to my ancestors. Harvesting materials with my sons and honoring potlatch traditions is my way of preserving memories and giving thanks.” Each item Brenda creates is not just art — it is a story, a prayer, and an offering. Through her designs and her healing work, she shares a message of reclamation, resilience, and deep cultural pride.
